It felt unfinished and left me confused. Which is sad because it seems like it has the potential for so much more.

Ancient folklore brought to life in the fight betwwen winter and summer in a short story.
Liked the depictions of the two protagonists, Holly and Oak, as horned, gnarly, bearded men going through the motions again, using their magic to tip the fight.
The interaction with the mortal world and Sergio is quite poignant for Holly, would love to read more.

Strange story, I don't know what the second part had to do with the first part.

There’s relationship backstory the reader isn’t offered, so rather than romance, I’d say this is a book whose strength lies in the intrigue of its mythology, with a little love to warm things up just before it ends.
