Much more straightforward and reflective than the movie -- I particularly enjoyed the allusions to philosophy. There's discussion of colonialism that I really wish were more fleshed out.

I enjoyed this a lot. I saw the movie before reading it so my enjoyment might have been clouded by the movie which I liked just a teensy bit better. I liked Mickey a lot as a main character. Marshall as a villain felt a bit stereotypical but he was fine. I just wanted a tad more from the story but overall it was a good time.
