I've been waiting to devour Hudson since reading Tanner and the wait was so worth it!
Whispers is becoming one of my favorite small towns with these sexy and swoony billionaire's and their dirty mouths. Single dad Hudson returns home to Whispers as the new doctor in town, and has his sites set on the woman he's been thinking about for years, Lacy.
Lacy's carrying around the weight of the world on her shoulders and always gives to others but not herself. When Hudson becomes her mom's doctor, their paths begin to cross more frequently and that spark ignites.
Hudson should've just written a prescription of himself for Lacy because he's just what the doctor ordered for this strong and independent woman. The burn may have been slow but that flickering flame ignighted into an all out inferno when these two finally gave in to the chemistry brewing between them.
Samantha Skye has a way with words that will suck you in from beginning to end. With Hudson, she delivers the perfect blend of swoon, spice, sweetness and a little bit of suspense that will have you falling in love with her story and characters.
Can't wait for more from Whispers!

Been waiting for Hudson’s book ever since I read Tanner last year , and I loved every bit of this book. It was so enjoyable and super romantic. I 😍 Hudson , the way he was with Lacy *swoon*, he was always the perfect gentleman and was so old fashioned in how he looked after her needs and just took charge. The spice was hot.
Lacy really deserved her prince after all she had been through and the sacrifices she made to look after her mum 🤩. Hudson was the prefect match for her . I like how her character evolved from the first book and how she finally allowed herself to be treated like she truly deserved.
There is some suspense in this book that keeps you guessing till all is revealed.

A very cozy, small town, billionaire romance with a touch of suspense that worked nicely.
Hudson is a lonely bachelor raising his young son who just happened to be in the right place at the right time and saved Lacy’s life in the previous book (Tanner) and now he can’t stop thinking about her even though she never returns his texts.
Lacy is dealing with a lot and has no room in her life for dating until Hudson sweeps in and takes a great deal off her plate and shoulders and then proceeds to sweep her off her feet. Again, their relationship is just too easy, how can you not fall for the dashing guy who buys whatever you want and needs and says all the right things all the time? What choice did she have/ what else could she have been waiting for?
The relationship was sweet, the banter funny, the dates were thoughtful if a bit over the top. I feel like money took the struggle out of the relationship building. Maybe struggle isn’t swooney. All in all it was fine, fun and flirty- it just won’t stand out over the many others like it out there.

ARC Review
Book 2 in the Billionaires of Whispers series follows Lacy & Hudson. Lacy is still mentally recovering after the events of book one that she was caught up in whilst also burning the candle at both ends with her job and taking care of her sick mother. Husdon is moving back to town to take over as the town Dr with his son Harvey in tow, both he and Lacy feel a pull towards the other and have for a while so now he is back in town can they navigate her reluctance to get involved when her life is already busy aswell as the significant age gap amongst other things to find their HEA?
Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this as much as I did book one. I didn't connect with either Lacy or Hudson individually or as a couple. Frankly Lacys reasons for not getting involved with Hunter were ridiculous, I understand her mother is sick and Lacy has had to be her caregiver majority of her life, but the way Lacy refused to even go out anywhere unless her mom had someone with her seemed excessive, especially as from what I could gather her mom is actually in remission throughout this book and not actively in the throws of her illness, it was like Lacy was infantalising her mom to a degree and just came across very weird to me. And her internal monologue was nothing but pining for and lamenting about wanting Hudson whilst actively rejecting his attempts to date her, it just made no sense to me.
Hudson was ok... except for as a single dad he sure did seem to forget he has a son. There are hardly any scenes of him actively being a parent, his son is constantly palmed off on others for sleepovers etc in order for the story between the main couple to progress so Lacy's "connection" with the kid felt very forced and surface level at best. The drama surrounding Lacy also did nothing for me and how she chose to handle it and how it played out in the end was was eyeroll inducing and very telenovela-ish. There was some decent spice but a book needs more than that for it to work for me. I'm just left underwhelmed which is such a shame as I remember really enjoying book one. 🤷♀️ 🌶🌶
" I slowed my feverish kiss, wanting to take it all in. Her little sounds hit my lips like torture, and there's no way I can stay away from her anymore. This is just another moment to solidify that fact. No more going slow. No more dancing around each other. She is my girl, and now I want the world to know."

Need more stars!! Hudson is a big bundle of gorgeousness! I love his fierce protection of Lacy....and Lacy is one determined woman. Now looking forward to seeing Connor bought to his knees by some strong woman.

What another great trip to Whispers. I loved Hudson and Lacy's story. It was so good. I loved that they had the previous connection from book 1 (Tanner) and even though she tried to fight it because she is all independent, Lacy couldn't deny Hudson. And once again Samantha Skye did a wonderful job bringing in the suspense. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to go down. It was so fricken good. I can't wait to go back to Whispers.

Samantha Skye delivers a captivating small-town romance with Hudson, the second installment in The Billionaires of Whispers series. This heartwarming and suspenseful tale blends second-chance love, family bonds, and an undercurrent of danger that keeps readers turning the pages.
Hudson Hamilton, a charming billionaire and devoted single dad, returns to his hometown as the new doctor—only to find himself entangled with the one woman who’s always been just out of reach. As he takes on the responsibility of caring for her mother, their paths cross more frequently, stirring up old emotions and undeniable chemistry. But love isn't easy, especially when sinister forces threaten their happiness from within their closest circles.
Hudson is the epitome of a swoon-worthy hero—protective, kind, and effortlessly charming. His love for his son adds depth to his character, making him even more irresistible. Lacy is equally compelling, a strong yet vulnerable woman balancing life’s challenges while resisting the undeniable pull toward Hudson. Their dynamic is filled with tension, longing, and a slow-burn romance that’s beautifully developed.
This story hits all the right emotional notes. The connection between Hudson and Lacy is electric, built on shared history and mutual care for their loved ones. The way Hudson integrates into her life—bonding with her mother while she connects with his son—feels natural and deeply touching. The slow unraveling of their defenses makes their eventual surrender to love all the more satisfying.
Beyond the romance, Hudson introduces a layer of suspense that adds urgency to the story. With danger lurking from unexpected places, the stakes are high, making this more than just a heartfelt romance. The balance of love and intrigue keeps the pacing engaging, ensuring readers remain hooked until the very last page.
Samantha Skye masterfully crafts a tale of second chances, healing, and the power of love amidst adversity. Hudson is a perfect blend of small-town charm, steamy romance, and gripping suspense. Fans of protective heroes, single dad tropes, and emotional storytelling will fall head over heels for this installment in The Billionaires of Whispers.
If you're looking for a heartfelt romance with just the right amount of tension and passion, Hudson is a must-read! 💙

There are very few series that I have read and can’t get enough of. Samantha Skye is an author who can write those series. Hudson is the latest book in the Billionaires of Whispers series. Like previous books, she has made Hudson a book I just couldn’t put down.
As I mentioned Hudson is the second book in the Billionaires of Whispers series. Since this is the second book you may think you need to read the first one as there could have been things that happened in the first book that you would need to know what happened. The good thing about any of the books Samantha writes is that you can read each book alone. She does include enough information about what happened, so you don’t feel lost in the current book you are reading. Hudson is a book I would say you want to read the book before as the main characters, Hudson and Lacey, are working through issues that happened during the previous book. The issue they are both working on is PTSD from what happened and with something as serious as that type of issue Samantha wrote it so well.
If you are a fan of the Harlequin Intrigue line, then Hudson would be an enjoyable book for you to pick up. Like all the other books she has written and books of that line, there is a mystery that is in this book along with romance. Most of the time the books she has written I am always guessing until the very end on how the end of the book will end. Just like the mystery in the book, the romance that is going on is just perfect. The way Hudson wants Lacey to grow and be in the front is amazing to see. To me when you are together you should want the best for your partner and not hold them down.
Hudson is a 4-and-a-half-star read that will have you laughing and then going I can’t believe it. This book is a roller coaster ride that you can’t wait to go on again. The spice in this book is also 4 Chili Peppers and will have you reaching for that glass of milk to put out the heat in your mouth.
The thing I love about Hudson is that this isn’t the end of the series. This is a great lead into the next book that will be coming out. So that means more Romance and mystery to come. Hudson is available wherever you get your books. And great news for KOBO Plus members. Hudson is part of your membership.
