This was a sweet story with high levels of realism. Tho the plot is something that is out of a romcom even the characters acknowledge it. There we’re definitely some moments I thought this definitely would never happen in real life. But I just went with it cause at the end of the day it is a fictional story. Also the end was what really made this story for me. A lot of YA stories queer or not usually end with very unrealistic or just straight up cliff hanger ending. And I applaud this story for ending in the most realistic way while it also being very sweet and somewhat happy ever after-ish.

Absurdly adorable. I loved how committed Del is to his absurd plan, and how convinced he is that it’ll work. Things didn’t quite go where I expected, which was fun. This story is incredibly sweet and hilarious, and I loved the characters and LGBTQ+ camp. It was nice having a demi side character too. Maybe not as appropriate for us YA-reading adults due to teen sex.

Rosen has created such a beautiful queer story that I adore. I was stressed about the ‘shoe’ dropping but I trusted Rosen and they delivered with so many loveable characters and cute moments.

I’m so bittersweet over this one… I need a sequel! Also, Ashleigh/ Paz and JORDAN getting their own books when?💔

 - CAMP is one of the most adorable books I've ever read. I loved the setting of a camp for queer kids: a place where they could fully be themselves, even if it's only for a few weeks out of the year.
- I loved that this book tackled toxic masculinity within the gay community, showing clearly how internalized homophobia and misogyny can embed themselves out of fear of being punished by cishet people.
- A few times it felt like it was verging on Very Special Episode territory, but it's YA, so there's room there. The one thing I simply could not get my head around was exactly how big was this camp?? There are like 19 cabins but everyone fits under the tarp to roast s'mores in the rain? Lol.

i loved this one so much!! such an entertaining and funny story!! it had all the makings of a teen summer camp romcom, while also holding a super important conversation about toxic masculinity and identity in the queer community. i also loved that this wasn’t a coming out story, but was still a story of self-discovery. i don’t think we get enough queer ya like that.
