firstly, i thought and was told it was a gay book…..they lied. literally only one character in the book was gay, and he was dead ._. besides that tho, the book was pretty boring in the beginning (like the first 10-15 chapters maybe???), but after the book was so good! the last couple of chapters is were most of the action and thrilling parts are imo. i did enjoy this book tho, and will defintely try reading more native american books!

this was a compelling read. i appreciated daunis’ strength,  intelligence, and care for her community. i learned quite a bit about the culture, beauty, and challenges of modern life on a reservation. i would hesitate to recommend this as it has serious content warnings, for mature and discerning readers.

I really liked most of this book but the middle really dragged for me and felt a bit jumbled. But the characters are great and overall I liked the way the mystery eventually played out.

I really loved this book. Parts were frustrating and there were definitely darker moments than I was expecting… and maybe look up your trigger warnings before reading… but I loved the look into Native culture wrapped up in an interesting story
