This was SO boring. If not for my book club, I wouldn't have finished it. Reading this felt like wading through quicksand. Very frustrating, too, because many ideas that could have been compelling if done right were soo lazily executed. Alas, I didn't care about any of this. A Restless Truth didn't make me feel anything beyond boredom, annoyance and frustration and I regret having finished it.
Edit: lowered the rating because my dislike keeps growing the longer I think about it. I hated the setting. Felt like a lazy excuse to avoid world building. No sense of "locked room" either. The lesbian relationship felt so unreal and performative, there was no chemistry at all. There is not a single thing I like about this book.

It was good to see more of Maud in this book, and how she handled life without her brother. I also enjoyed how she managed to create a team to help her by being honest and good, even though she was filled with doubt. A cute story for sure.
