liked the premise, didn't like the writing style. Kaiser was an absolute cutie tho and the German audio book was alright. I'm not sure whether I'll ever read the second book. I'm also unsure about the way the author wrote all the female mcs. whatever

Okay I totally and utterly adored everything about this. The whole concept is just excellent!
Eve is a great main character, if a little unreliable as she begins to realise! And I love her friendship with Lemon :):) and the way they stand together despite everything.
It’s hard not to talk about all the reveals and the ups and downs of their trip but I love how all the relationships change as they go. I was going to list my favourites, but realised I’d list them all!
Also, I totally need Kaiser in my life. And Cricket.
The ending is both surprising (definitely surprising omg) and not at the same time - I saw some of it coming, and even wondered about one of the big reveals, but what everyone goes to do next really got me. I want book two so I know how it’s fixed!! Ha sorry for being cryptic there. ;)

This. Book. Was. So. Tiresome.
From the constant reusing of phrases, similes and descriptions, I just couldn’t handle this book. This book should have taken me a week at most. It took a month because I literally couldn’t deal with the book.

Quizás no soy objetiva, pero Jay nunca me decepciona. He amado leerlo en otro tipo de ambientación, y pese a que han habido partes que me han parecido demasiado planas o forzadas, me han sorprendido gratamente los plotwist y me he encariñado muchísimo con Cricket

A big fan of Jay Kristoff's work as usual and this one was once again full of interesting and fun characters; I enjoyed the biblical references with the lifelikes and the pinocchio parallels were fun to spot. The reader of the audiobook was amazing, with different inflections for different characters, making conversations very easy to follow and adding a fun layer to my listen. Looking forward to book 2!
What can I say... it's Jay Kristoff! Fantastic ride start to finish, with a twist I didn't see coming. I listened to it on audiobook, and while (like always with Kristoff) the narrator was great, but I feel like if I read a physical copy it would have been 5 stars.
