I found this on a banned books list at Book People in Austin. It's great: young adult, quick, funny, and sad read.

Crass, but real. I wasn't the biggest fan of the writing, but it did a good job at getting the story across and the character of Junior. I found it really insightful, not just into life on the rez, but life in general. I didn't expect it to be so touching especially with it's vulgar speech. It just felt very real and honest. It was refreshing.

I enjoyed reading this book. It reminded me of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid only this one is funnier and has more substance. Two thumbs up.

I still really love this but I think I see a few more cracks in it than I used to.

This was one of the funniest stories I have read as a child.
But the dark themes really affect my emotions as an adult.
Nonetheless leaves you with optimism at the end.
