girl boss (derogatory)
I don’t know why I read this except for that it’s been on my TBR for like a decade. And now it’s not.

Does not address intersectionality making the advice too broad. Some of it felt very outdated.
It lost me when the author stated “although we mature physically, we never really mature emotionally. And while this may allow us momentarily relief from real-world dilemmas, it never allows us to be fully in control of our destinies.” Yikes.
I've gone back to this book a few times since I first started interning my freshman year and I learn things every time. It is really rewarding to see growth and measure progress with the self-assessment in the beginning of the book.

I read this book ages ago and I’ve thought about it over the years and I actually really hate it. For anyone considering it, I would say you should pass. It wasn’t good advice back then and it’s definitely incredibly outdated advice now.
I read this book for my College Marketing class. I started it with the idea of reading it as just an assignment. That quickly changed.
Frankel's witty quips and ability to point out flaws in how most women carry themselves is absolutely astounding. I am so glad I had the pleasure of reading this book.

Great book. As with any self help book all advice ought to be taken with a pinch of salt. Nonetheless, most of the advice here is highly sensible.
