Die Männer in diesem Buch waren so unfassbar nervig.

A terrific book. Each story told perfectly each person lived with and cared about

Not a bad book, but why oh why is it implying the collapse of the food system because of honeybee loss, which are non-native livestock in many parts of the world (including where a lot of this book takes place). Livestock that isn't as good as pollinating as some other bee species.  WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER NATIVE BEES AND WASPS AND BUTTERFLIES AND FLIES AND MOTHS

Found this on a bookshelf at the backpackers in Riverton, it's been bugging me ever since.
From page 1 - 250, the events are just the description on the back cover - just short vignettes which don't move the story along at all.

The last 50 pages string together the three storylines very well alternating between hope and cynicism - I was reading it, wondering why the rest of the story wasn't like this? All in all, I kept on feeling like this was a poor man's Cloud Atlas.
