Books that jump around between multiple POVs are often hit or miss for me. I find myself liking one POV over the others and just racing to get back to that character. But the stories in this book are so expertly intertwined that I didn't mind when the book switched from one character to another.

Anything that gives a little bit of hope in the face of climate anxiety is very welcome right now.

I went into this knowing that I'm not a big fan of historical fiction, but this book actually pulled me in. I needed to know what the connection was, and before I knew it, I finished the book in one sitting.
