I really did not like Sharla much at the beginning of this book. I thought she was unnecessarily arrogant. (Although, I am not sure if it is ever necessary to be arrogant, especially that arrogant.)
I did like JoJo, but I was surprised he was as normal as he appeared after having to deal with his mother for all of those years. Not absolving his father at all, but that man's mama was the Queen of Dysfunction! I didn't like the way Sharla treated Jovani at the beginning, and I would not have like it any better had the roles been reversed.
In spite of what Sharla was seeing, I did think they went from one level of a situationship to another of a relationship in a very short period of time. There was this specific label one minute and it changed to them being in love the next. The relationship became a lot more tolerable after they declared their love.
I also liked Sharla's mother, Rabbit, JoJo's father, and his little brothers. My favorite character in a number of Alexandria House's books is Nadia's dad. I don't care what scene that man is in, I know I am going to be cracking up. He leaves me howling every time.
This book covered so many aspects of life, relationships, family, friends, and still gave us an HEA. I was able to listen to one of my favorite duos narrate this book. I find that they take an already good book and make it better. I am looking forward to book 3 in the series.

Five stars. You have done it again Queen. This book was sugar spice and everything nice. It had a blend of so many characters I love, showed of a great developing father son relationship and Sharla is amazing and very protective . It also gave us the dynamic of the bitter woman who let go of something for the sake of her child. This was gold. So amazing. This was a very interesting story with the perfect blend of so many characters from so many story. Kudos.

Gah, how?? Hoooowwwww! I can you fall deeper in love with each story written? Only because MS House wrote it? Jovani and Sharla were everythang! Both vulnerable and accepted the love, no questions asked. All our favorites made an appearance but didn't take over Jovani and Sharla's story. This is love it's purest form.

Loved this book! The kismet connection the sensitivity of Jovani the bringing back of Lorenzo!!! Just great!

This was a decent read. Not my favorite from Alexandria but she can do no wrong.
Satisfying
For the first third of this book, I wasn’t sure that I’d like it. The storyline picked up and the main characters became a lot more likable. I really enjoyed the cameo appearances from my favorite characters from other books. I loved seeing Zo mature and become a better man/father. The story unfolded into a very touching romance. I’m glad that I stuck with it.
