I really liked this whole series, but this was by far the best book in the series. I loved the reoccurring themes of morality, villains, heroes, justice, the grey areas in between, how everything is not so black and white, and all the other topics it touched on. Nova was my favourite character and I loved her so much, she was such a strong character and the romance between her and Adrian was well done. I thought the concept, plot, and world building were also great, and there were so many unexpected moments and twists, especially the ending. (I had a prediction for the ending, which kind of ended up happening but it wasnt final and the complete opposite then ended up happening)  The first two books I really liked, but this book I loved. This series was so fun to read and it was such a unique concept for books, since for movies superhero movies are really common, but in books there aren't half as many.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars

This was a really awesome conclusion to the Renegades series! From beginning to end, I felt like I was on the edge of my seat.

What I loved the most about Supernova was the truly epic ending. The last 40% of the book flowed so well, and it felt like one big action sequence while still keeping good pacing. From the battle at the arena to the final fight, it was a huge rollercoaster ride. All of the action was choreographed just right, with enough breaks in the action to not feel overwhelming.

I also really loved the development that we get to see all of our main characters go through by the conclusion. Nova especially has so much growth. The relationships between the characters were great, too, and the dual perspectives made it really interesting to see how Nova and Adrian viewed both each other and the people around them differently.

As always with Marissa Meyer’s writing, the romance was adorable. Nova and Adrian’s relationship is developed so well over the course of the series, even if I have a hard time seeing them being the PDA couple on the parade float in the epilogue. Oscar and Ruby are also such a cute pairing, and I liked the inclusion of the chemistry between Danna and Narcissa.

The continuous stream of prodigies being neutralized made everything seem so dire. Although, one of my only dislikes for this book was everyone getting their powers back at the end. At first, I was upset that everyone was being neutralized, but it started to feel like a poetic ending, especially since one of the big questions for the characters throughout the series is “would the world be better without prodigies?” So, everyone regaining their powers or gaining powers for the first time wasn’t exactly the ending I was hoping for.

The only other thing that I wasn’t too huge a fan of was Nova’s star. I mainly just found it kind of confusing, especially the explanation of how it was hidden in Nova. But I did like the way it came into play during the ending.

I’m honestly disappointed that this series is over, especially after revealing that Magpie is Nova’s sister in the epilogue. It makes a lot of sense - the way they bicker is very much how siblings bicker, even if they don’t know they’re sisters - and now I really want to know if they ever find out and what will end up happening to Magpie.

Supernova was definitely my favorite of the series, followed by Renegades and then Archenemies. A fitting conclusion to this super epic series!

This was a really good ending to the Renegades series! I don’t think it was quite as good as the other two books but it still was wonderful. The three little twists at the end were interesting but did not leave me in complete shock like some of the other twists.
I also found it interesting how Meyer used the same twist for ace and magpie, the actually-not-dead twist. I also wondered if the three twists (evie being magpie, phobia being adrian's creation and ace being evil) were intended from the start of the series. They felt kind of thought of at the last minute but that doesn't diminish their impact! They were great twists! However I didn’t like the ending how everyone got powers, i thought it would be better if no one got their powers back.
. This book was also quite gory with in depth description of mutilation and self mutilation, murder and other dark themes. I really enjoyed this book and read it on a single day, Feb 13th.

Ok, so i loved this book series from start to finish, however, i don’t like how meyer wrote the epilogue. the ending of the plot itself was fitting and satisfactory, but when i read the epilogue it dipped my mood a bit? to put it simply without spoilers, meyer wrote a position which contradicted the entire lesson taught throughout three books. I could see it as a “this character is young, some people will always view the world this way” type thing, but to me it didn’t feel that way.

Either way, that’s simply me being nit picky.

Otherwise, this series was absolutely amazing from start to finish. though a bit hectic at times, i loved the world building, message and characters. Definitely would recommend this to any YA fan.

(note: the 4 stars isn’t for the epilogue!! the missing star mostly came from the slight back-and-forth-ness confusion of the third book)
