This book was the one in this series I was the most excited for so maybe that’s why I only gave it 3 stars even though it was ok… like it was just ok and I was hoping to love it. The whole Grim thing is pretty cool though, even if it’s just like a spin on the classic fallen angel type shit

I was super lucky enough to receive an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I loved going back into the Savorie sisters world! This was so well written, the character development of the hero was top-notch and of course, the heroine, a total badass boss! The romance had the perfect combination of sweet, sexy and swoonworthy! I really really enjoyed learning so much about the grims as well because nothing about them is mentioned in previous books.

Ok, yes, love story, amazing as always but the worldbuilding!? So good! I have been dying to know about the grim reapers! Finally learning their history and some of their powers was so exciting!!!

It makes me doubly excited for Henry and Clara's book now!!

Also dom daddy Gareth was fantastic.

Ms. Juliette Cross did not disappoint! I LOVE THIS BOOK. It deserves all the stars!

Spoiler Rape, Sexual Assault, Child Neglect, Issues about consent

Though I love this book, I didn't enjoy Livvy's character as much as the other Savioe sisters. Nothing's wrong with her, but I feel like the book was unable to highlight her characteristics as much as the other books did for her sisters. A big part of that is probably because this book focused more on grims and of Gareth Blackwater, which I didn't mind at all, that's why it's still a 5-star read for me.

This book is so beautifully and brilliantly done. I've read a couple of books that feature grims, but never in this way. Their ancestry and power were woven so intricately that as a reader, I am just continuously blown away page by page.

In terms of the love story, it was okay. Somehow, it felt quite insta-love because there weren't much foundation to how they developed their feelings for each other. I love every thought and notion that Gareth has in terms of love and being loved, especially after knowing his childhood, you'd understand why he is the way that he is. And what it all means for him.

Practice Safe Hex is such a good addition to the series. It's different and refreshing because it's a lot darker than the other books, which I think is pretty fitting, especially since we're dealing with a grim.

I love this book and this series! Definitely my favorite paranormal romance series of all time! I can't wait to read the last two books, though I'm less thrilled about Jules' story the most. I'd much prefer to read Clara's book first, but based on the preview I've seen in Practice Safe Hex, Jules' will be next, which means Clara's book will close the entire series.

If you haven't picked this book or this series up yet, please do! You will not regret it.

This romance was fantastic. I loved the build up you saw in previous books, and it was fascinating to learn more about grims.

Unlike the previous books the drama was building throughout. There was great communication between the characters, and it was just a really wholesome romance.

Trigger warnings: violence, murder, death, foster care, abuse, sexual assault

I thought for sure Nico and Violet were gonna be my favorite couple of this series, but there's just something about Livvy and Gareth that I am obsessed with! I love a good enemies to lovers and when both main characters have great chemistry, it makes it even better. These two were scorching hot! I love the introduction of grims in a MC role and learning more about their particular lore since they've been a mystery since book 1. Gareth is a very confident (cocky) man, but I loved that there was so much more to him than that. His childhood being what it was gave him a depth that I wasn't expecting but that made him that much more compelling. Livvy is one of the sisters you get to know the least as the series goes on so I really enjoyed being in her perspective. She's loud, confident and powerful. Their dynamic was amazing! Something I also really loved about this book is the way it expands the world. It opens the door to much more complexity than I was expecting. Cannot wait to continue and finish this series!
