I have read Lencioni’s work before and I quite enjoy his writing style. He certainly is not as dry or formal as other career/profession writers tend to be. But this work in particular was incredibly repetitive and lacked the spirit of his previous books. Simple and easy to follow, but could have easily been cut in half without all the fluff.

Not my favorite Lencioni book. Good information but I found it hard to get into.

A good book with many useful suggestions about business that hilight how organisational health is at the core of good business.

At the same time the book is not very well written, the examples are simplicistic and many points are forced. In particular the book does not explain the very many unhealthy businesses that are also successful, or even address the types of organsisational health challenges that emerge as a business grows.

The Advantage explains the importance of a healthy culture in your business. Including what makes for a good leadership team, why conflict is not a bad thing and how damaging fear and ego are (I think this should be required reading for every church leader). Practical applications and filled with good examples. Not everything is applicable, but I’m already sharing some important points from the book with the leaders in our company and it’s reassuring to read how we already are doing a lot of things right.

Interesting thesis that a without a narrowly defined set of core values a company needs to be healthier rather than smarter. Organizational health and the steps needed to reach it are clearly defined and laid out for anyone who wishes their organization functioned better with clarity of communication from the top down.

Good, helpful concise content but not near as engaging as Lencioni’s other books. His usual masterful fables are simply far more engaging than this helpful but less engaging book.
