You know what this book was missing for me? Side characters, that is where you get your banter and fun in these kind of books. There was literally 2 side characters and they’re Scarlett’s best friends who you hardly see, Abel has no one nada not a single soul. You’re telling me he hasn’t got 1 friend, not a single person to hang out with and have a chat? Also there was absolutely no sports included, which for a sports romance is slightly annoying. Other than that this would of been a 4/5 star read, the relationship was cute, the spice was good, the miscommunication was handled well wasn’t done too late on in the story. Overall it’s a good book.

for me

This book was pretty good. I loved how the guy was sooo in love with her from the beginning. I also really liked how he was nervous to talk to her and everything. This book would have gotten a better rating for me if they didn’t have the stupid miscommunication type plot line. I think he could of easily told her who the other girl was but he didn’t. He made it to where people misunderstood instead of explaining. They were together and he still wouldn’t tell her the truth when he could have. For me that was sooo annoying. Without that I would have absolutely loved this book. I could potentially see recommending this book but I wouldn’t read again as the miscommunication is just too annoying for a second read. 3.5/5

Abel and Scarlett’s story was so cute and such a great read! It was sweet and spicy and there was some miscommunication going on but it worked and the story kept me hooked that I just had to find out what would happen next. I loved their friendship and banter and the mutual pining was so cute!!
And I absolutely adored Abel’s pov!! He was so sweet and obsessed with Scarlett from the start and I loved it!! Even if he made so bad decisions along the way.

Will definitely be reading more from this author!
