The premise of this book sounded great but I really didn't enjoy it. There were so many exclamation points, every emotion was explained in so much detail that I had no use for my imagination. Billy was supposed to seem down to earth, I think but rather came off as a one dimensional character. Sophie did my head in - she was so immature, selfish and spent waaaaaay too much time crying for me. I wanted there to be more action - at the end of the book Sophie wasn't that far off where she'd started.
I read the entire thing so i suppose I didn't completely hate it, but it really wasn't a fantastic book

If you like romantic lit, this is a great one. I didn't have a lot of expectations going into it and honestly only wanted to read it because I follow the author on Twitter and I find her to be hilarious and sweet and everything awesome. I laughed and cried...and laughed and cried throughout this whole book and, as much as I didn't want to, I fell in love with Billy. Quick read - read the whole thing on a 5 hour flight - but I think it's quick because it hooks you in from the start.
I managed to read this book in a day as I'm on holidays. It's the perfect by the pool read and I surprisingly really enjoyed it. I felt the characters were a bit bland at the beginning but by the end I like them and I enjoyed the plot as well. I would be interested to see how the characters develop further in the next book.
This book is absolutely incredible.
At first, like others, I thought I was bound to be biased because it's by Gi, but from reading the very first page, that wasn't the case. I read Billy and Me as if I would read a book written by anyone, and I absolutely loved it.
The plot is beautiful and will have you laughing and crying in different places. The book is written incredibly well, each sentence describes exactly what is going on in such detail that you can see the whole story playing in your head as you read.
I loved the characters, the plot and even the overall layout of the book. The cover is interesting and would make anyone want to pick it up.
I gave Billy and Me 5 stars, and it thoroughly deserves it.

Hmm... Where to start with this book.
I decided to read this on a whim after an exhausting week of powering through [b:A Game of Thrones|13496|A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1)|George R.R. Martin|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1436732693s/13496.jpg|1466917].
While it felt nice to be able to read more than the 50 pages an hour that I manage with Game of Thrones, the writing felt incredibly pale in comparison. I didn't enjoy the awkward present tense, the italic flashbacks, or the exclamation points—all things that my first year, first semester, almost first class, writing course said not to do.
Did I enjoy it?
Yes. Once I got past all of my problems with the writing, cliched characters, and the confusion with how much time had passed, it was a cute—and easy—distraction from the real world.
Would I recommend it?
Possibly, to younger teens.

I really really loved this book! Absolutely amazing, especially for a debut novel! I loved how she didn't make it solely about Sophie and Billy but added in relationships with other people. I love how it was mainly Molly who caused all this to happen - she allowed Sophie to come out of her shell, and without her it was unlikely Sophie was ever going to have dreams which she would strive to accomplish, and it also allowed her to not only meet Billy but have the confidence to be in a relationship with him. It really shows the importance of dreams, happiness and independence and urgh, I just loved it! It had me laughing, smiling, (almost) crying and I became really engulfed with all the characters and felt something for all of them. I was rooting for Billy to get off his arse and go get Sophie back! I really love Giovanna as well, and I'm glad she's not just going to be labeled as Tom Fletcher's wife (whom I also love, McFly are my babes) but going to make a name for herself. Yay! Totally recommend as the perfect summer read, but I think you could read it any time of year and still enjoy it!
I’ve read this book loads and it’s my fave. I’m currently reading the prequel book called always with love and I can’t wait to see Billy and Sophie’s story continue!
