Ugh I’m so mad bc this is definitely my least favorite of the series… this just felt like a different book to me. The other ones explored trauma so well and how the characters grew from said trauma. This one did not have any of that which is so unfortunate given the topic of this book. It had the potential to be fantastic but it just fell flat for me. I will say tho, I absolutely LOVE WITH ALL MY HEART Gerard and Claire. I just wish their story was better written/explored!

I can’t even express how disappointed I was in this book, the Boys of Tommen series has been one of my favorites of all time but Chloe really did not follow through on this one. I hate the “fake playboy” trope, we went the entire series knowing Gibs as a ladies man then she changes his entire character for this book. This feels cheap and disingenuous to change a character so wholly FIVE books into the series.

I was MOST looking forward to Claire and Gibs’ book and I wound up hating Claire in the end. She could not support him at all and kept running to tell everyone she could every secret he had. She was so immature and he was not the character we were promised in the prior books.
