Some of these stories made me cry my eyes out, others were predictable and didn't necessarily add anything new to the usual beats, fortunately most of the stories were the former. The art was beautiful and interesting, overall I really enjoyed this collection. Perfect for quick reads

Note: I no longer put stars on my reviews.

Review: A YA fiction anthology. Feminist, intersectional, sci-fi and fantasy. In some stories, the sf/fantasy element is central and in others it's subtle. Some are done in graphic format. In my eyes, there was some variability in the quality, but I enjoyed all of the pieces. My favorite was "What a Stone Can't Feel" by Penni Russon, about a teen girl who has a unique power, yet feels helpless to render aid to her dying best friend. This is a slim volume and a quick read. I like the cover art a lot on both front and back.

I came into this book with low expectations and the first few pages in I knew I was wrong. This was a great book. I loved many of the stories in here but a few just weren't for me and brought the book down to 4 stars. Overall, a wonderful book with an awesome message.

I really, really wanted to like this book. Some of the stories I really enjoyed. Others felt like a pain to get through.

This is one of the most beautiful books I've ever read. It was first sold to me as a sci-fi anthology, which I was so on board with. The next time I heard of it, someone told me it was a feminist anthology. At first I thought I was mistaken or had previously heard incorrectly...But no, it is a feminist sci-fi anthology written by a diverse set of authors. The book itself is diverse in media, with not only short stories but short graphic stories and even a screenplay. I want to put this in the hands of every person I meet.

I liked the idea behind the anthology as well as the concept of each short story. However, I felt that the way in which the authors conveyed their points was a bit on the nose. I would've loved it if the authors had found a way to convey their messages more subtly.

Authors from India and Australia collaborated in writing the short stories. There are sci-fi and fantasy stories, stories of girls finding their voice, all so interesting and engaging.

Short stories are not normally my jam but I loved this book and the concept behind it. The creativity of each story was incredible and I enjoyed them all.
