Another fun, murdery, spicy romance! I liked Butcher and Blackbird a tiny bit more, but a very entertaining series!

3.5 stars. It was mostly a good time, and decent enough that at some point I'll finish the trilogy. The first book in the series had a bit more originality and serial killer fun in it; this one, I actually liked the characters and their relationship better, but the serial killer part felt really forced and awkward. The first book was a gross-out gory good time; again this one was both lacking in that department, and then felt a little forced when it was included. But Lark and Lachlan were more fun for me than Sloane and Rowan, which redeemed the book and kept me interested in knowing what would happen. I still appreciate the originality in the lines this series tries to break between the romance, dark romance, horror, thriller AND comedy genres. And again, I really recommend the audiobooks for this series, the male voice actor's accent really works!
it was all good except for the damn singing… and i want more of the bonus chapter!
This book was so good! I think it was just as good as the first one. I love the murder with a dash of smut! I cant wait for the next book. I would love side books on Larks parents and her aunt. The shady muffin business was such a good add! I also loved that we learned more about Blackbird. One of my favorite reads this year!!
