“𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘴… 𝘐’𝘮 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘧𝘦.”

Oh, Savannah and Hayes… You two are the epitome of soulmates! I had a feeling that as soon as I picked this book up, I wouldn’t be able to put it down and I was right! That’s how amazing Laura Pavlov’s writing is!

𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘏𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘴 is the fifth and final book in the Magnolia Falls series. It tells the story of Hayes Woodson, a grumpy, broody, insanely hot fire lieutenant and Savannah Abbott, a beautiful, sweet yet sassy interior designer. Savannah returns to Magnolia Falls for the first time in over ten years to say goodbye to a loved one and once Hayes lays eyes on her, everything from their complicated past doesn’t matter anymore. Savannah ends up finding herself in a number of situations that she can’t get out of alone and Hayes, in true hero fashion, comes to her rescue. The miscommunication and forced proximity between these two gives us some delicious banter and a whole lot of spice! You can definitely feel the heat of the fire burning between them and once they get their confusing past ironed out, their true feelings for one another explode to the surface. The amount of love and adoration Hayes has for Savannah had me swooning SO hard! He worships the ground she walks on and will stop at nothing to keep her.

A couple of major highlights for me was seeing Hayes evolve into the kind of man he didn’t think he could ever be and Savannah get the happily ever after she always dreamed of. Their love story is so beautiful and brought tears to my eyes more than once while reading! I’m so glad they found their way back to each other. This book is the perfect end to an amazing series!

Oh, and one more thing to add — Beefcake is the man! 🤣

Thank you, Laura and Valentine PR for the ARC copy!

I had high hopes for book 5/5 but there was everything typical and expected about this book.

I couldn’t wait to learn more about Hayes and WHEW I think she saved the best for last!?!Hayes and Savannah were best friends growing up and because of that their chemistry is SO good. Their marriage of convenience was written so well and believable. I just loved everything about this book!

Hayes is the grumpiest of grumps that melts for our FMC. Also did I mention that he is a firefighter?!

Honestly, just didn’t love this book. Sometimes the last book in series really makes or breaks the series for me, and this one broke it. I still loved the rest of the books in the series and getting updates on the previous couples, but Hayes and Savannah just weren’t my favorite.

I was SO OVER Savannah complaining about how terrible Hayes was for the first 10+ chapters, it felt like it was all she would talk about but wouldn’t even give a hint as to why. It drove me nuts. I loved the character development Hayes went through and how “manly/dominant” he came off, but was annoyed by him towards the end of the book.

Someone else’s review stated the end of the book took forever to wrap up after the conflict was resolved and I fully agree. I skimmed over the last few chapters.

Was fine, couldn’t finish the last few chapters, it took forever to wrap up after the conflict resolved.

This was the perfect ending to this series! I’ve become so emotionally attached to this group of characters (but I think I always do with Laura’s books!) I never wanted it to end (I’m going for a second generation series with our boy beefcake please Laura!!) the bond between this group of friends shone so brightly throughout but I felt like Laura tied it all together perfectly in Hayes and Savannah’s story.

This was such a well written marriage of convenience, I loved the history the Savannah and Hayes shared and how they worked through their misunderstanding that causes them to be a part for a decade. Even though Savannah was the one who would gain the most from their arrangement I loved that she went above and beyond to try and help Hayes benefit from it too.

I also really appreciated that although there definitely some miscommunication, it comes from their younger selves and doesn’t affect the relationship they develop as adults, they work through it and Laura really showed the broody, grumpy Hayes for the big softy we knew he was going to be! Savannah was so likeable as she stood her ground on so much and also always looked out for Hayes even when she hadn’t truly forgiven him, her strong sense of family really showed how easily she’d fit in with the ROD crew!

As usual Beefcake stole the show with his hard hitting and incredibly valid points and the love that pours out of him for everyone his life! I love that he had no hesitation adding Savvy to his girls and taking every opportunity he got to talk up his Uncle Hayes and make sure Savannah knew how great he was! Laura gets me every time with her text exchanges, and this group of friends were no different, their w]banter and love for one another made this series so incredible and I’m so glad they all got their happily ever after!

You’ll love this too if you love
