It started out great, I was invested in it but as I go further in the book, the more it dragged. I remember having the same issue with the few books I’ve read from this author.
They’re good books, quite low on angst and conflicts (because somehow they’re almost always easily resolved even though that’s not the case when dealing with a similar problem in real life).
The love connection wasn’t my favorite. For someone who adores best friends to lovers, this lacked in the wow factor and in all the feels (it can be that I’m too picky also).
Nonetheless, it was a quick and easy read. I still had a bit of fun.

I was completely captivated by this irresistibly beautiful, friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romance! I have been waiting for Hayes's story and I could not be happier! Hayes and Savannah were best friends growing up, always there for each other in good times, and bad. When something happened and she suddenly moved away, it broke both their hearts. Now a decade later, Savannah is back in town and she needs a favor. Hayes changed after Savannah left, becoming closed off, but still taking care of those he loved. Even though he is angry, he is compelled to take care of her too. Savannah is also angry, but Hayes is the only man who she can turn to. She needs a temporary husband, Hayes isn't the marrying kind, but he is for her, she makes him want things he didn't think he was worthy of. Can they survive being with their other half and walk away whole? I loved every moment of Hayes and Savannah's journey back to each other. It wasn't easy, they were both so hurt and angry, but they couldn't forget the history and strong bond between them. I loved how they took the time to talk to each other, being vulnerable, and proving how they were always meant to be together, claiming their soul deep passion and love. Of course his brothers, including the wonderful Beefcake, where all so hilarious and fun as they bantered with each other but were always there with unconditional love and support. I was completely consumed by this moving, and heartwarming story about healing, forgiveness, family, and second chances at love.
Andi Arndt & Lee Samuels' narration was fantastic at capturing each characters personality. I love the emotion, and passion they bring to their performance. I always enjoy Arndt's expressive and moving performances, and Samuels was perfect for grumpy Hayes with his deep growly voice, and he gave voice to the female characters convincingly as well. I was so enthralled from beginning to end with this beautiful and hopeful romance, that made it impossible for me to stop listening! Loved it!

I delayed writing this review because I’m not ready for this series to be over
Bittersweet emotion that goes straight to the heart. Finding Hayes ticks all the boxes when it comes to captivating. Unpredictable emotions, irresistible characters and breathtaking storytelling. Pavlov turns immature heartache into an everlasting romance. Savannah and Hayes take the soul by storm.
this might be my favorite in the series!
✨ marriage of convenience
✨ fake relationship
✨ childhood friends
✨ fighter fighter mmc
i was so excited to read more about hayes and hear his side of everything that happened when they were younger. learning how integral savannah is in everything and how it impact hayes was heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time.
i just love them together so much.
and again, absolutely love how laura pavlov intertwines all the characters throughout the story and truly show how close the RoD group is
