I love this book so much was a great reread! I love the Simon and Baz moments and the book is just a classic for me at this point.

I was disappointed by the writing and the fact that nobody acknowledges the existence of bisexual people. The idea for the plot and the world was good though.

I had to sit on this book for a few days before rating it. It was basically a Drarry fanfic. I wanted to like it more, I might revisit this book and read book 2 but at the same time I'm not sure.

When I first picked up this book I felt like I might accidentally have picked up book 6 or 7 of a series. The author kept referencing all these climatic fights and events and it took me a while before I realized that the story wasn't about all of those events, they were simply background, the story was about the people. And I found myself totally loving the characters. The dense, teenager vanity and pride was perfectly written to be both endearing and believable.

The world and history of magic is unique and well written, with a fleshed out history. The story has just the right amount of twists and hints. I really enjoyed it and recommend it highly!

okay y’all buckle up for this review and this book.

imagine harry potter, but gay and not written by a transphobic pos. this book kept me so entranced and entertained the entire time. the characters are lovable and the plot moves at a good pace. i finished it in less than a week!
i love the way Rowell switches between the different characters’ perspectives so you can hear all of their thoughts as to what’s happening, and she moves through time, letting you in on things that the other characters don’t know yet.
i love a good enemies-to-lovers type story and it’s even better that it’s queer (being a raging queer myself). this book had me laughing out loud so often while sitting on the couch alone, and there were times were i had to sit and just process what i had just read.
i think this book has crept it’s way into my top 5.

is this book objectively good? not really! however, the mark it left on fifteen year old me will never be erased. those who get it get it. Carry On is a masterpiece in a campy, ridiculous, endearing, and of course very gay way.

I really enjoy this author's writing. She has lovely characters and interesting plots. This was not her finest work. By far.

It was very interesting. It felt like the ending of a story, not a beginning, but that might be because i haven’t fangirl yet which is where the characters and stories are first introduced. The ship is wonderful and I’m definitely going to recommend this book to everyone. Super excited for wayward son!!
