Interesting story, but for me it lagged a little in the middle. liked how the story focused on the moments just before and just after his life, rather than the first moments and the last moments. The main drawback for me was the lack of connection between the first and second parts didn't feel like one informed the other that much (and vice versa), or added up to something greater than them separately.

Jon Fosse 2023 yılı Nobel edebiyat ödülü sahibi. Yıl bitmeden kalemiyle tanışmayı başardım. Sabahtan Akşama hem novella oluşu hem de sakin bir anlatıma sahip olmasıyla başlangıç için iyi bir tercih olabilir. Kitap aynı hayat gibi doğumla başlayıp ö.ümle bitiyor. Norveç edebiyatının durgun havasını da taşıyor. Benim kitapta en çok hoşuma giden ise denizle hayatın birleştirildiği kısımlar. İhtiyar Adam ve Deniz, Moby Dick gibi denizi yaşamla bağdaştıran, hayat mücadelesini, doğumu-ö.ümü deniz üzerinden anlatan kitaplar hoşuma gidiyor. Sabahtan Akşamanın büyük bir derdi olmadan sıradan bir hayat yaşamış bir adamın gününü anlatması ve bunu yaparken bütün hayatından yer yer bahsetmesi güzeldi. Zaten kısacık bir kitap olduğundan biraz daha anlatıp keyfi bozmanın anlamı yok. Noktalama işaretleri minimumda kullanılmış hatta nokta kullanılmamış ama bu gözü korkutmasın sade bir dille yazıldığından yormuyor. Umduğum kadar etkilenmedim açıkçası ama yazarın Melankoli kitabını da okumaya karar verdim.

There is nothing wrong with the author or story itself. The translation was fragmented, which is understandable, and was hard for me to get into.
