3.5 rounded up.
Fun and frothy, which is what I hope for from a Camille Pagán novel. I enjoyed her main character, and there were actually some turns that surprised me.
I finished the Audible version in a day.

I’ve always had a liking to Camille’s books. From her writing to the characters, This Won’t End Well is no difference. Highly recommend for all you giddy, hopeless romantics

I don't know how I would rate this if I wasn't currently buried under the stress of the coronavirus pandemic but it was a fun, easy read that got my mind off current events. Today that counts as a win. I won't talk to much about how she basically pirated the plot and character from other - better I might say - books. It's a good book for brain candy.

This Won't End Well by Camille Pagan was a coming of age story of sorts - except it was focused on an adult woman. Annie is a successful chemist who is fired due to her boss' deception. Additionally, her fiance Jon has gone off to Paris because he needs some space. With things she thought to be "for sure" Annie is now forced to figure out who she is. Along the way, she also befriends a neighbor and a private investigator. Throughout the story centers Annie's search for answers. In some aspects, she just wants things to go back to the way they were, but in others, she is wondering what more there is for her. For me, this was just a good character-driven story. I liked that Annie was an adult woman exploring these tough questions. Even as we get older, this is stuff we can grapple with, and I so appreciated there was a story to show that experience!

Annie are you ok?

Oh Camille Pagán does it again! Annie Mercer takes us on the journey through her messy personal and professional life and we just sit back and eat popcorn watching it all unfold. The twist with Mo, totally unexpected, but I love that everything worked out as they did.

it was the format that killed this one for me. the story was told through email correspondence and journal entries, which i don’t usually mind, but it didn’t work with this one. i can’t speak for everyone, but writing the actual dialogue you had in a journal entry doesn’t seem like a thing people do. it just didn’t work for me and the story was boring, honestly.

Surprise Twist

Definitely not my usual type of read. However, I loved it! The ending has an unusual twist that you'll love!
