Type of read: Commuter Read.
What made me pick it up: Scrolling Spotify available books, and this fit the vibe check.
Overall rating: 'Wildfire' has absolutely no real plot, but it's a good brain break. There's a forbidden romance/praise kink situation going on, and I'm not mad at it. It was an easy, quick read that made me smile. Will I seek out more from Hannah Grace? Eh, maybe for when I know I want something easy that doesn't take too much brain power

I actually can’t believe this is the same author of Icebreaker, because that one i did like better. Characters were so flat, and there’s no plot AT ALL. I wanted a hockey romance and it was not delivered

I'm SO GLAD I decided to listen to this book even though I DNF'd Icebreaker (the first book in this series) because I LOVED this! (plus...narrated by Teddy Hamilton so...duh!)
Russ and Aurora meet at a college party. Russ is a hockey player but totally sweet and awkward and they end up hooking up but because he's awkward and ends up in the bathroom too long, Aurora thinks he's rejecting her and she leaves. Little does she know that's the furthest thing from the truth.
They end up both working at the same summer camp together. Aurora grew up going to this camp and it's a place she can forget about her family drama. Russ has been looking forward to escaping his own family craziness and he needs the job. They are both surprised to see each other and of course sparks fly!
What makes this book amazing is not just the chemistry between Russ and Aurora (swoon!!!) but the side characters as well. OH! and the puppies!!! And the kid campers! It's heartwarming, hilarious, and inspiring (and don't worry - there is some spice!) It definitely checks all the boxes and I can't wait for the 3rd book!
