Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC.

Such a fun sports romance and I just loved it being for the sport that I love watching! The tennis scenes were accurate and enjoyable to a tennis fan but not too overbearing if you're not. As someone who is getting to attend Wimbledon this year, it made me very excited!

I wasn't quite convinced by the book at the beginning, with the story setting being a little off for me and I wouldn't quite agree with it being assigned an enemies to lovers trope. Once I knew the characters, I was sold. It was a quick and easy read that I devoured in two sittings.

Flora and Kieran were both such likeable characters and I was truly invested in their story and blossoming romance.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Reilly writes next!

This was cute! I picked it up on a whim and honestly I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. The chemistry between Flora and Kieran really worked for me and I liked how their relationship developed.

This wasn’t a perfect book. Being completely honest, the plot and concept is a bit forced and I found a lot of the dialogue a bit clunky. Everyone talks about their feelings in a way that doesn’t scan as realistic – there were parts where I felt like there was a lot of ‘therapy-speak’ seeping into most conversations, if that makes sense; conversations got ‘deep’ very quickly. I also thought that Flora’s lifestyle didn’t feel very realistic at points. But! That all said, the book as a whole was a lot of fun to read.

It was just very easy – it was a gentle and comforting read and there were some really cute, really romantic parts in it. It was very escapist, and ultimately was just what I needed to read.

Content Notes: Roommates, forced proximity, grumpy MMC, tennis player MMC.

Warnings:
SpoilerDeath of a sibling (in past), death of a parent (in past), drug overdose (in past, MMC’s brother), references to suicide, alcoholism (FMC’s mother), absent parent (FMC’s father), difficult relationship with parent (MMC’s father), grief, mental health issues, depression.

Other:
SpoilerOn-page sex, semi-public sex, infidelity / cheating (not between MCs, FMC’s ex, on-page, explicit), OW drama
SpoilerThe OW that the FMC’s ex cheated on her with appears on-page a few times. She flirts with the MMC in one scene but he isn’t interested. She later apologises to the FMC for sleeping with her ex.
, pregnancy (in epilogue).

This book could be summarized as an AITA : I illegally rented my apartment during Wimbledon for an obscene amount of money, but now that my accommodation plans fell through, I want them out of my place (but I'll keep the money) and refuse to negociate, even when they generously offer to pay for an accommodation elsewhere. AITA?

Yes, yes, girl, you are. I might be biased as I know someone named Flora and she's dumb as fuck, but still, this one is a morron, and remains so for the whole book. Oh no, my forced roommate's coach hates me because I'm jeopardizing is life long dream by constantly being a pain in his ass ! How dare he???

I had high expectations for this book as a huge tennis lover, and needless to say, I was disappointed. The tennis world building was strange, with existing stars walking among completely invented players.

Do I often dream about my favorite player falling madly in love with me after an unexpected meeting? Damn right. Do I believe it will ever happen? He has better odds of winning Wimbledon then that happening *sighs*
