I may have liked this one more than We Set The Dark On Fire? And that's saying a lot, because I loved We Set The Dark On Fire.
A lot of the aspects of the first book that dragged a little/didn't get as much attention (mainly a lot of world building and relationship development) as they deserved weren't relevant here, because the first book already did that.
I loved getting to see Medio through Carmen and La Voz's perspective, and get to learn more about the way La Voz functioned. Additionally, Carmen's self-discovery and growth in this book was really good.
Also, gay. gay gay gay. I love Carmen and Dani and the way they navigate the relationship in this book.

It’s a really good series, exploring really important topics, and was an enjoyable read. However, I did guess a plot twist quite early on, and it didn’t click with me as well as other books have- this doesn’t take away from how amazing this book was and the emotions it bought me . like I guessed Ari’s betrayal in his first few scenes because he was so rash and compared to the background it didn’t make sense. Also, the changes in the vultures character seemed inconsistent to me. Mateo and the system made me so mad though- as it should’ve
