If you Hated ICED, well this was nothing like that.
If you Loved the original Fever Five, well this was nothing like that.
If you wanted More Barrons, He is there
If you wanted More Mac, She is lost
If you wanted Nice Ryodan, you got it but that is just sad.
If you needed Older Dani, she showed up
Who might save this for me Lor, Lor he is the Man if he can't do it no one can.

If you like the Fever series this is an enjoyable although not required side read.

I liked being inside Barrons head and it was funny the way he even talked to the author giving KMM a hard time. Her character will not be controlled even by her. Barrons is that much of a bad ass

It wasn't the best sex scene written, but I didn't read it just for that. I really liked the dialog between Barrons and Mac and seeing her from his POV while she is still so Pink.

I dont know what to think. I feel cheated. I was waiting for the Dani O'Malley trilogy. I guess that's not happening. Things I hatted at the beginning when they were first being told, making me want to give up on the book, made sense after a while. People I hated started to grow on me. At times I hatted Mac and her whiney ways, but she manages to get out of the world's petunia hole and make you kind of like her again. Who would I recommend it to? Die hard fans, people who really want to know what happens, and those who hated iced and Dani as a main character. Die hard Dani fans abstain.
And on a different note, KMM definitely loves cliffhangers. I hatelovehate that. Hope the wait is not too long.

2 Stars ⭐⭐

Look, I love me some Barrons, just as much as the next girl, but this left a little to be desired. :-/

Since I devoured this on release day, and because so many of my friends are currently reading this, I am going wait to post my full review of this one.

I will say that I LOVED this, but there were a couple things I didn't love. HOWEVER, it was worth the wait! :)

On the fence about if this will be a 4 or 4.5 star rating...

So I had to debate between 4 and 5 stars on this one - the first half was definitely only 4 stars, it was disjointed and I found myself putting it down between narrators with not a lot of incentive to pick it back up even though the main storyline was interesting enough. But then I hit the first "Holy Crap, did that really just happen?" moment about half way through and there was absolutely no putting it down. Mac is back!! I really really really hope we don't have to wait 2 more years for more Mac!

Aaaaaaah Barrons....♥ ♥ ♥

So good!! ^^

Je profite de la relecture en VF de ce tome pour rédiger ma review.
J’avais adoré [b:Iced|12444166|Iced (Fever Series, #6)|Karen Marie Moning|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1333022535s/12444166.jpg|17427104].

SpoilerI was so excited to read this book. I mean I guess this was the longest I had to wait for a next book in series to get out. I was looking forward to Dani and Ryoden because I really liked Iced and their dynamics. I don’t know why but I was blindsided. I didn’t expect the book to be told from Mac’s point of view. Don’t get me wrong I love her and Barrons. I was pissed when I found out that the rest of the series would be about Dani. But since I didn’t expect it… But on the more relevant note, absolutely nothing happened in this book. It was all just pointless talking and Mac’s complaining and whining. And don’t get me started on the end of the book. What was that? It’s like walking in the cemetery and suddenly finding yourself in a grave hole you did not see. It seemed to me like the author stopped writing suddenly and thought this would be enough. There’s no arch, the answers to the questions aren’t answered, the problems aren’t solved. That would be fine with me, a lot of authors love cliff hangers, but there was none (because to me what happened at the end wasn’t a cliffhanger, that was nothing). Seriously, I keep want to grab that book and keep on reading because I always forget that I’ve already finished it. However, those are my only complains about the book. It had its moments. Good moments. I love this series, I really do. I just expected a little more, a little too much maybe.

Three and a half stars, parts were a definite four stars.
I started the book, then skimmed it because I wasn't sure I was liking the multiple points of view. But I went back to read it properly and was pleased I gave it another chance. Now I'm looking forward to reading the next one.
