Also: the part where Lor gets ratted out and they march into the room with him when Jo is there too. Hi-bloody-larious. Hands down the most funny scene in the whole series. Enjoyed this one better than the last. Mostly Mac's POV, so it was a little jarring when we got a couple of different ones tossed in. Can't wait to see where it goes from here. Kind of a cliffhanger of an ending. Thank god I can just pick up the next one in the series now.
I love the Fever series - sometimes you just need a little something flashy/trashy. The appeal of this series is that it is Fantasy, Action, written by a woman, with the "bodice ripper" aspect thrown in. Unfortunately, this one was a little too much bodice ripping and not enough of the action and intrigue that I've appreciated in the earlier books.
šš Pay attention to what Jada does until the reveal. This book was so good! I was tempted to give it a 5. Iām about to get the next book, even though I had other things on my TBR. Oh well.
Still good escapism but my least favorite in the series.
