This book was amazing in some ways, I loved the different groups of people and different blood they have. The surprise at the end with Loot was brilliant. I can’t wait to find out what that means.

Fantasy is not really my genre of choice, but I thought the characters were fairly compelling and the narrative pretty entertaining. The allegories are very blatant, and the figurative language is not as strong as it could have been. There were also parts of the book that got repetitive, and some of the build up to yhe larhe action sequence could have been cut shorter in particular areas. However, overall a fairly enjoyable read
