For me, Romantasy needs to be created with its own world, magic system and language structure.
Any modern language used immediately places it in an urban fantasy category.
Heir of Broken Fate tries very hard to be Romantasy, however the authors language choices and her characters dialogue, actions and thoughts make it difficult to follow the story when I am constantly being jarred out of the story by strange language choices.

Lots of grammatical errors kept this one down. I did like it a lot. I find it hard sometimes when people write books very similar to SJM books but their characters aren’t nearly as loveable. And while this isn’t as good as ACOTAR and has a lot of similarities, I loved the characters in this one. So excited to read the sequel.

apa yah, kayak lack of something gitu. aku ga suka tokoh-tokohnya dan juga menurutku pov nya kbnyakan. kalo ga salah ini tuh ada 4 orang pov dan semuanya terkesan tokoh penting, ga cuma tokoh lewat doang, jd porsinya tuh banyak si ber 4 ini, tapi menurutku ga penting sih dibikin begitu.
trus dari 4 tokoh itu, aku kesulitan ngebedain mereka semua, karena satu sama yang lain tuh ga punya karakter yang kuat. jadi kan 4 tokoh itu, 2 tokoh perempuan dan 2 tokoh laki-laki. nah si 2 perempuan ini hampir mirip dari pemilihan kalimatnya, gaya bahasanya, bahkan karakternya.
aku ga akan ngelanjutin series ini sih, hehe

I ate this book up. Once I got into the story, I couldn’t put it down. The plot, the characters, the whole word was magical. The found family in this book filled my heart with so much happiness. And the way it ended was the perfect set up for the sequel. I can’t wait for the next book

I loved this but skipped past the 2 or 3 spicy scenes that there was but I loved all the characters and plot
