where do I start? The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo had both hands clasped around my neck, forcing me into the depths.  I hung on each and every written word, felt each emotions Evelyn felt and cried when she did.   No words can begin to illustrate the wonders of this book. I wholeheartedly recommend every bookworm to give this a chance. Wow.

If I could marry a book, I would marry this book. I think it deserves all of it’s hype, and is a true masterpiece.

wow. i feel like i have so much to say about the journey this book took me on but that i also have no idea how to say any of it. i haven’t bawled big ugly tears while reading a book in literal years. it happened here though. multiple times. i loved every character in this, how complex they were, and how raw it all felt.

harry and evelyn were the relationship that spoke to me the most. i understand the notion of marrying your best friend, starting a family together, and then bonding in such a way that exceeds the traditional standards for relationships. queerplatonic relationships are so much more common than people think and i LOVE that one had a chance to shine here. this book, in general, was full to the brim with so much queerness and i absolutely adored that.

booktok gave this book so much hype but it was truly well deserved. everyone may not agree because the writing style isn’t to their liking or its just too much for them to stomach and that’s totally fine. this book isn’t for everyone and that’s okay too.

this is one of my favorites though. of this year, this decade. my life maybe. guess we’ll see how i feel about it after i re-read it in like a year’s time lol

5 stars all around from me!
