Honestly this book was the perfect light hearted romance. I enjoyed it a lot.
For fans of Christina Lauren and Emily Henry- welcome to your new fav book!
This book stole my heart! The writing is refreshing and fun and the characters are deep and realistic. Mac is such a well-rounded person with real-life struggles with anxiety and grief and her personal growth is incredible. I loved how her background with loss isnt hidden or used as an excuse for her to tolerate bad behavior to fill a void but rather was used as fuel for Mac to search out people who her sister would be proud of her for choosing.
Jenny is a great best friend. I often find secondary characters annoying and problematic (used only for poorly time 'that's what she said' jokes and a night out on the town mid break up) but the depth of this friendship really stood out to me.
Daniel Evans is SWEET, level-headed and funny! One of the funniest books I've read. This is true rom-com.

Definitely a cute read. Enjoyed the banter between most of the characters. But I'm not sure if I'm completely sucked into knowing what happens to the other characters in the series, though.

3.0 🌶️
There's more to happiness than just the ending.
The Write Place was a quick and cute read. Admittedly predictable but oh so entertaining. Lost me a bit towards the end when I felt like I wanted to skip a bunch. Also as a Midwesterner, I approve of the references made!

Okay y'all, that was adorable and I enjoyed it! The ending did seem a little rushed but I get that we may see more of that possibly in the next book in the series. Otherwise I really enjoyed the year later epilogue and then seeing the very beginning from Daniel's point of view! I love how loved the characters make eachother feel. ❤️
