BOOKSTAGRAM— here is our diamond in the rough!! I mentioned yesterday how The Write Place gives me the same vibes as Emily Henry (Book Lovers) and Ali Hazelwood (The Love Hypothesis & Love on the Brain), and it couldn’t be more true.

This cozy rom com had me crying, gripping my kindle as if that would make me read faster, and smiling as if I were the one falling in love (I mean, Daniel Evans, ladies… come on). As I dove into Allie’s world, I couldn’t help but be transported back to my high school AP Lit class (easily my most favorite class I had ever taken in high school), and I was reminiscing as I read. As Mac and Daniel navigate their feelings, the academic world, and workplace issues, you can’t help but feel what they feel and dance, laugh, cry, and hurt alongside them.

The cozy vibes are 100% fall and I decided halfway through this will be an annual read for me. I mean, imagine snuggling up with hot apple cider, fuzzy socks, and this book year after year— pure heaven.

I am incredibly honored to have received an arc of this amazing book, and I encourage you all to read this as soon as possible!

Available in paperback and on KU TODAY! 🤍

If you are in the mood for a great rom-com, this is the book for you!! The fun bantering between the 2 MC’s had me laughing throughout the read. This is the type of book I use as a palate cleanser between deeper book, and it was exactly what I needed!!! It’s a bit of a slow burn, but in a great way- and it keeps you wanting more!!

Mac is a teacher & Daniel is a writer who has been in a bit of a slump.  The way their storyline comes together had me smiling and swooning.  I don’t want to give too many details and spoil the read- but please add this to your TBR pile!!! You will not regret it.

The development of characters is great!! The writing style was nothing short of incredible & I look forward to more from the author in the future! Great job, Allie Samberts 💕

The Write Place is about a high school english teacher who loves nothing more than her students and a good book. When she is asked if an author can shadow her for research for his new novel she struggles to keep that wall up between work and her personal life. I really love this book! It is very well written and the characters are so much fun. Mac is very relatable and Daniel has that easy outside attitude but holds a deeper side. They help each other with things from their pasts and just make each other better people. I also loved Jenny, the fun best friend who is hilarious. I will be reading other books by Allie in the future.

This book is great for anyone who loves a good romance between a teacher and an author with a deep love of books.

I received an arc of this book and am leaving an honest review.

My reading year has had a rough start, and it was such a joy to dive into this book and remember that I do, in fact, love to read!

Instead of flying through this like I normally might have, I slowed down to really savor the experience. I'm glad I did, because there is so much heart in this story! Along with fantastic characters who feel like real people, interactions that feel genuine and relatable, and a compassionate portrayal of grief.

Within the first few pages, I had already laughed out loud multiple times, and this continued throughout. This is a rare occurrence for me, and I relished in it! It's not quite as rare for me to tear up during a touching scene or to get turned on during a steamy scene, but it must be noted that those did both happen here. Usually, I might be complaining that there wasn't enough smut or that it didn't happen early enough in the book, but this does the slow burn so well that I have nothing to complain about. I completely understood why Mac and Daniel were both hesitant, and the tension built beautifully before we got to their sex scene. Plus, once we got there! HELL YEAH is all I'll say about it! Hell. Yeah.

This is a fantastic debut, and I'm really excited to read what's next.
