Wow just Wow. I absolutely could not stop reading this book. Once I started it was a must to finish it. I had to know what was going to happen. But I was left hanging so to speak. Yes this book is a cliffhanger. I cant wait until I can read the next one.
Jas is a monster. But what a monster indeed. He sees someone that he wants and will do whatever it takes to get her. Little does he realize that this woman is going to be more to him that he expected. Georgina is a nurse. She is not who you think that she is. She has fantasies that Jas makes come true. This was just too much for me, personally. I failed to see any connection between the H and h. The obsession sprouted out of absolutely nowhere and was utterly lack-luster & repetitive. I held on to the hope the story would improve, but alas, twas’ not the outcome.
Goodness me- Isabella Starling is the QUEEN of dark, erotic and thrilling stories- girl can write some seriously dark and kinky stories, and paired with Rina Kent, we know we’re going to get a possessive, cold, and slightly demented alpha anti-hero saying all the dirty things.
But, this story is more than just team but a more complex tale of possession and obsession, a mystery, and even more complexly about self-acceptance- embracing your tastes and interests, even if they might seem odd or even twisted to others. And boy, do both of our characters have some twisted kinks.
Jasper is an assassin for the Costa mafia- and he stubbles upon Georgina (his Petal) post-mission at random- but he is immediately obsessed with her, and begins invading her life, first via stalking and then by actually meeting her. He sees something intriguing in her- drawn to her eyes and by the fake smile and persona she exudes. As Jasper slowly reveals more of himself, Georgina starts to learn more about herself and her interests- both drawn to and repulsed by her kinks and in a love-hate push and pull with Jasper, who wants to own and possess her. Mind games ensue, we have an interesting twist (you see it coming a bit), lots of kinky and dark steamy times, and two characters who are soulfully connected, from their own traumatic childhoods to their fiery passion for each other. Both authors do an incredibly job of creating interesting and dynamic characters that we just don’t quite understand but are somehow rooting for.
I loved Georgina- she’s not a doormat but she’s submissive and puts up with some pretty dark stuff rom Jasper, but she’s also real, somehow vulnerable and strong all at once. I also LOVE her cat lady tendencies (#fellowcatlady)- and the jokes about this and the general descriptions of her cats had me chuckling. And Jasper is deliciously dark- he’s ominous, he’s unhinged, he’s brutal and possessive and a bit psychopathic, and I am here for it. (and so is Georgina)
I do love a good push-pull relationship, but I will admit at the end I was ready for this pattern to break a bit- perhaps to see a bit more open affection (we do see some, and it is clear they both care about each other, even though there is a lot of emotional whiplash)- I’m ready for Georgina to stop fighting herself, and I want Jasper to open up a bit more to her. I don’t ever expect him to be soft, but I loved when he is both possessive and controlling but also still tender- more of that! I’m excited to see some new dynamics, hopefully, play out in book 2! Not to mention I’m excited to find out what this means for the twist!

Stalker friendly book with psychotic lead male who finds a female with fantasies as deep as his feelings run. Georgina is unprepared for the depths that Jasper goes in order to reveal his feelings of possessiveness for this minx.
What did I like? This is a dark romance with depraved indifference toward Georgina, Jasper stalks and follows his prey until he can do more than just look. After coming clean to Georgina the real depravity starts and Georgina is allowed to adopt the role he creates for her.
Would I recommend or buy? This is KU so if you love dark romance then a no brainer...pick up and devour. Both books are available and even though book one has a cliffhanger you can quickly go to book two without stopping. I enjoyed Jasper and Georgina!

Okay, I can't believe I feel in love with this stalker. This is a really dark book, Jasper's obsession can be sickening for some people, I loved it. Georgina or Petal is such a strong woman and I love the fact that she has some dark kinks and she is not ashamed of it. Perfect
The tension in this book I- I'm so upset I didn't buy physical copies when they were still selling those. Jasper is a really great anti-hero with his murderous tendencies as well as his tendencies in bed which happen to correlate exactly with what Georgina wants in a man, and the push and pull between these two is literally so good. This is a stalker romance which I love because this man who is normally so stoic and cold is absolutely obsessed with this girl who faked a smile at him, and now they can't let go of one another. Also, the plot twists at the end of this book???? I just- wow. Can't wait to read the second.

I personally skipped the smut cause it was quite heavy. But I took a peak out of curiosity and all I have to say is, they must've watched a lot of porn or something along those lines to get this creative.
