hey that sucked ass actually... it was like if you gave a chatbot a prompt that said "write me the most god-awful cowboy romance you can come up with." The second book has GOT to be better bc it can literally only go up from here. Reading this book was like reading something by a four year old with sex scenes sprinkled in. Also... the sex scenes had no business being like 10 pages long.. pls just wrap it up and move on. I also hate it when a character is like "this isn't some romance novel!" YES IT ISSSS omg I literally hate when authors do this like... we know okay we get it.. your protagonist is soooo not like other girls.
Just gag me with a spoon. So cringe. God I hope the next book redeems this series/author. Best of luck to y'all.

I’ve been sleeping on this series for too long. I loved the development of Emmy and Luke’s relationship. And I loved the Ryder family dynamics. I can’t wait to be back with this family for the rest of the series.
