This was an excellent read. I highly recommend for anyone who is interested in LEGO or how some companies come to be and how a lasting family impact can have on the global economy.

This is a comprehensive factual history, which is interesting in its own right, but I did find the lack of narrative beats made this a bit of a slog. The pre-war history wasn't super interesting to me either. My highlights were the commentary on management visions and decisions from the 1950s onwards. While it's impossible to cover everything, I would have liked the book to cover more about the design decisions around Lego itself, and the successes and failures of different ranges, but maybe that's another whole book.

3.5 but because it's Lego it gets rounded up to 4!!

A interesting tale of the history and culture of Lego spanning multiple generations surviving almost bankruptcy and enduring to become one of the most beloved toys and brand in the world.
