I was already a fan of reading legal thrillers but God, now I know why John Grisham is the king of the genre. While this is not strictly happening inside a courtroom, the main characters are a lawyer and a law firm. That's all you need to know, because after the first few pages you won't be able to put it down. Amazing read, can't wait to read more from John Grisham.
A little bit of a thriller where a new lawyer gets stuck in a law firm all messed up in illegal activity. From the outside, it seems like the ideal firm, but once he's inside, he learns the truth.

I feel a bit disappointed by this book. It had a lot of potential, but it just did not follow through. I'm starting to notice that Grisham novels typically have a great beginning that gets you hooked, but the endings are never quite as good as they should be. On another note,it seemed really convenient and unrealistic that Mitch's brother just happened to know a private investigator. Also, I really don't like the way Mitch's infidelity is handled in the book. It seems kind of unfair to Abby that he never tells her about the girl on the beach. I still rank "A Time To Kill" as the best Grisham novel I have ever read.

I reread this book to prepare for the newest book. I am looking forward to finding out what happened next.
My favorite parts were watching Mitch get wined and dined and courted by the company, his relationship with his wife Abby, and everything in the Caymans. I feel like towards the last 85 to 100% of the book I cared less about the story and it was hard to suspend my disbelief that this guy was so easily able to beat the Mafia and the FBI. Still glad I read it and learned more about the other author who was "found" along with Stephen King. Now I am left with just a strong desire to make a workaholic lawyer family in the Sims, haha.
