It seems that vampires never left Barrow alone after the events of first TBP, but they keep coming back every winter. Now, people of Barrow are formed a militia with tons of guns and UV lights, barbed wire around town. There is another story about a new sheriff, who is a brother of police officer from the first TPB. An ex-FBI agent turned vampire. Eben and Stella. Another direct-to-video sequel that's far inferior in terms of tension and pretty much everything else.
P.S.
Templesmith does nice job when it comes to covers. However, for the art of the graphic novel itself... Most of the time it looks like doodling of a child in the kindergarten, where sometimes you have problems distinguishing characters from each other, or humans from vampires.

The artwork alone would get this book five stars, but the story is pretty amazing, too. I'm anxious to read the others.
This one was kind of slow, and not enough action. Ben Templesmith blew me away yet again with his illustrations.
I am a big fan of Steve Niles's work and I love the X-Files, so of course this book came of interest to me. I was not at all disappointed. As other reviews have pointed out, Mulder and Scully's "voices" in this felt very accurate. The artwork was great and the actual story line merging 30 Days Of Night with X-Files was successful. If this was an actual X-Files episode, it would have been awesome to see. Definitely pick this book up and give it a read!
Bloody. Confusing. What came first, the graphic novel or the film? What on earth will be in volume two?
Gráficamente me ha encantado. No es que esté muy bien dibujado pero el resultado conjunto es muy llamativo. Es lo que hace la historia.
En el guión historia sencilla, nada del otro mundo pero funciona.
Dos estrellas porque, literalmente, it was ok.

This was okay but definitely something I would consider overhyped, probably due to the movie that I know I watched when it came out but have absolutely no memory of now. Overall it was just way too short and seemed like it skipped right past a lot of important or action packed bits that would have been interesting to see. The art is also ...fairly annoying to look at. Like I get the vibe they were going for and I guess it works to an extent but it's just very ugly most of the time and it was hard for me to get past how the people and faces were drawn in particular. There's definitely the seed of a very interesting story here but not much was done with it. Don't think I'll be reading any of the sequels.

The artwork in this graphic novel would usually annoy me, but it worked perfectly with the horrifying story line! Not generally a big fan of vampire tales, but the vampires in 30 Days of Night aren't just creatures of the night that puncture two delicate holes in their victims' necks. They are truly scary monsters. Loved it!
