The plot didn't always make sense to me, but Flavia is an absolute delight.

I always enjoy Flavia and her complex family relationships. However I didn’t love this book and I think part of it was complicated and long travel yesterday. When I was reading the book.

Something is just magical about Flavia de Luce. These books are amazing, Flavia is obviously young, but poised and curious in just an engaging manner. I am so very happy to have been introduced to these books.

I love Flavia de Luce. Wholeheartedly. She is devious, intelligent, at times surprisingly tender, a world class chemist, solver of mysteries and she is eleven years old.
This third installment of the Flavia series remains steadfastly brilliant. As with the previous novels, this is not a serious crime story, but rather a mysterious lark. The writing is quick witted and humorous. Even better, at this point in the series, we are given brief insights into the characters. Flavia, especially, reveals a small vulnerability that only makes me love her more.

Enjoyed this third in the series of mysteries featuring Flavia de Luce, the budding chemist in Bishop's Lacey, England. More exciting and suspenseful than the second book with a better plotline.

Oh Flavia the crimes you get yourself mixed up in. This story involves a number of crimes and interesting characters and dives you right into the thick of things. I enjoy these books a lot. Flavia, her family and the other cast of characters are fun and interesting and even though these books involve murder they aren't heavy. Which I really appreciate now and again.

Since the next book in the series is a Christmas book I'll hold off a month or so till reading it, but I'm excited to keep on with the series.

Not my favorite of the three - a bit easy to figure out, but fun, nonetheless.
