Maybe I’m a bit burned out on the dark academia genre and the timing was bad but I thought A Deadly Education was EXTREMELY boring.  So much tedious details about the way the magic system works and how El and her fellow students deal with the Scholomance.  I just found myself not caring if El found an alliance or if she survived her “deadly education”. 

Her enemy to lover relationship with Orion was annoying!

Wasted potential- the concept was interesting but it was delivered poorly imo.
