I always feel a little naught when I pick up a book that's been labelled as erotica. To me that genre used to mean a book full of sex but no proper substance. I have now changed my mind.

Beth was a very likeable character. Strong woman with a weak past. She knows what she wants and really seem to be the more grown up person in the story.

Dylan started off as an arrogant I-am-your-love-god kind of guy, but soon turned out to be the more romantic of the too. He turned a little too quickly for me - I was expecting him to play a little more hard-to-get character.

Both characters had a sad story in the past that shaped them into who there were when they met and thanks to those good back stories the book was made more believable.

I always look at books I can relate too, that I can believe in. characters should be easy to imagine and the paths they take should be natural and I think this books ticks the boxes.

This is a quick read romance well told I Louise Bay is an another I will look out for. And as I love baking too it was just a little more personal.

Thank you to NetGalley for access to this book in exchange for an honest opinion.

I am a huge fan of Louise Bay's! With each new book of hers that comes out, she just solidifies herself as an auto-buy author for me and I know I will enjoy every book I read from her. I have to say though that Indigo Nights is my absolute favorite book of hers yet! It is so hard to pick between her books for me but after finishing Indigo Nights, Dylan and Beth are definitely my favorite couple of hers. While this book is a standalone, it is connected to What the Lightning Sees and Calling Me.

Beth Harrison has used the years since becoming sober to find herself and start a career pursuing her passion for baking. So when she meets a sexy stranger at the airport, the last thing she expects is to start a relationship with everything else going on in her life. Dylan James knows that women want him for his money and power, and he is fine with that in exchange for sex. He keeps things casual and never sees a woman for long. But Beth Harrison is unlike any woman he has met before, and he can't get her off his mind after meeting her. With Beth living in London and Dylan living in Chicago, they know that things need stay casual, but what happens when feelings start to develop and it becomes more than just cake and orgasms?

I absolutely loved these two! From their very first meeting I was hooked and it just got better as the story continued! The way that they met and things got started was so much fun to read about, and these two were so hot together! Dylan and Beth were so sexy I don't know how my kindle didn't burst into flames! The dirty talk between them was fantastic, and you could just feel the attraction between them. But I also really loved that these two could talk about everything right from the start, and Beth wasn't afraid to tell Dylan who she was and what she had been through. He was great for her, just as she was for him. These two had something so undeniable and special, and it was so great to see something different here with these two.

Overall, this book was just fantastic. I finished it and immediately wanted to dive back in because I wasn't ready to be done with Dylan and Beth. These two were sexy and I enjoyed the steam between them, but I also loved how fun and flirty they could be too. Louise Bay had the perfect balance of sex, emotion, and romance here and I had a blast reading this book. I didn't want to put it down, yet wanted to savor each bit of it. I highly recommend any of Louise Bay's books, but this one should be at the top of your list! I know this will be one of those that I reread again in the future, and I already can't wait to go back and experience this story again!

Delicious!

Beth is a YouTube baker that's in Chicago for a business trip. She's been offered a TV spot.
Dylan is a business man who owns several companies.
What will come after a passionate one night stand?

I can say with total honesty that I loved this book.

Let a begin with the story. We follow two strangers that meet on a fly from London to Chicago. They end up sleeping together and finally getting to know each other.

She's a YouTube baker (a baking guru?), and recovering alcoholic that's about to get a television slot. He owns companies, buys broke one's and fix them before selling them.

As far as I can see, they have nothing in common. But the chemistry is amazing.
Both characters are very well defined and presented. I found myself caring for them, and connecting with them.

The secondary characters were also incredible. I want to know more about them. The way they interact with the main characters is very natural and it doesn't feel forced. It's not like "let me just talk about the story". We get a real conversation and real people. I enjoy that in a book.

And finally, the steamy bits....
well, let's just say Mr. A8 can call me any time. They were great, didn't felt cheap or fake.

4/5 stars for me.

This is my first full story from Louise Bay. I started A Week In New York a while ago and was hooked on it but unfortunately I wasn’t able to finish it so I jumped at the chance to read Indigo Nights. At first assessment, I will say that I felt as if the characters were one-dimensional. Dylan and Beth meet, are attracted to each other, and quickly fall into bed and this experience both rocks their world. So much so that they continue to see each other whenever Beth is in Chicago. It felt like it was just going to be a bunch of one-night stands between them over and over again; like I wouldn’t get to really know the characters but that all changed quickly.

Louise brought these characters to life and gave them more dimensions just by giving them this bright spark between them, wonderful personalities, a dark past that haunts their future, and the ability to play with and eat any dessert. When you read the book you will get the last dessert thing.

We find out that Beth is a recovering alcoholic, has had horrible past relationships, doesn’t trust her judgment, but is a great baker and hopes to start her career as a TV baker. Dylan, on the other hand, is crazy wealthy, teeters in his trust, and has hardly had a relationship that lasted more than one night. These two together really do not sound like they should mix well together but they most assuredly do. Dylan never lies to Beth, which is something that Beth has struggled with in the past. He slowly starts seeing Beth trust him and because of this, Beth starts to blossom and Dylan starts to see who Beth really is. She is not some woman dating him to get his fortune. She is a woman dating him because she is falling in love.

There are also great supporting characters that shine brightly. Beth’s family and Dylan’s friend definitely brought another level to this book by giving these characters some witty comebacks and intriguing personalities.

I enjoyed this story. Dylan James was one hot ass man. I loved how Beth was able to turn his world inside out. Not that he didn't do that to her as well, but I always love when an Alpha male finds that one woman that brings him to his knees. Beth was that person for Dylan....and she was perfect.

This is the first book I have read by Louise Bay and after having finished it I had to ask myself why. In addition to this being a thoroughly enjoyable read, which grabbed me right from the start, it introduced me to a new book boyfriend. It is a well written, sexy, sensual romance story that will grab the reader right from the start and keep them engaged for the entire book. Yes, there are plenty of hot steamy scenes between Beth and Dylan, but the author delivers a wide range of emotions throughout the entire book.

Both of the main characters in this book are three dimensional characters that are well developed. Beth is sassy, vulnerable, honest and scared. Dylan is controlled, powerful and yes little cocky. The author has written the characters in such a way to show their vulnerabilities so that the reader can see how they grow.

I also enjoyed the secondary characters, especially Haven and Ash who both have their own stories. This is a stand alone book, so if you are new to Louise Bay and have not read their stories don't worry, it will not interfere with your enjoyment of this story. Indigo Nights is a well written, sexy, love story with steamy scenes and great characters. I will definitely be checking out other books by this author.

I was provided an ARC by the author through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. The thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.
