I did enjoy this tale, but it wasn't the wild emotional ride I had my seatbelt fastened for. Don't get me wrong, it definitely gave the heartstrings a tug, but didn't leave me a blubbering mess as I'd wished! It's tough to dish the details why I felt this way without spoilers, but what I will say is Finn and Riddick were great, their chemistry was sizzling, and the artwork sprinkled throughout was a visual treat!

This book… wow. Just wow. It was absolutely incredible, and I don’t say that lightly. I went in completely blind, and honestly, that’s exactly how you should read it. Let the story surprise you, let it wreck you in the best way. Once again, Alexandra St Pierre has outdone herself.
Finn stole my heart from the very first chapter, a bright, warm ray of sunshine in a world that didn’t always deserve him. And Turtle… oh, Turtle. What a best friend. Everyone deserves a Turtle in their life, and his trusty van Shelly was just the cherry on top. ❤️
Then we have Riddick. This man comes across all rough edges and sharp corners, but the way he softens for Finn? I swear, I melted into a puddle on the floor. But that secret he was hiding… oh, I worried. I braced myself. And yet, when the truth finally came out, it was nothing I could have predicted. It broke me in the best, most devastating way. And somehow, through all of it, it felt like fate. Like these two souls were always meant to find each other in the chaos.
I cried through the entire second half of this book. Big, ugly tears. But they were worth it. This is one of those rare stories that carves itself into your heart and refuses to leave.
You absolutely need to read this book. It’s unforgettable. It’ll stay with you long after you’ve turned the final page.
