Comfort read.

At least I now know why Evanovich changed up her book titles after 26 books-she changed publisher's. This one read more like a typical murder mystery...murder, really bad bad guy, kidnapping, blood, and a surprise twist as to who saves the day. I love the changes.

ARC from Netgalley.

What can you say? Another Stephanie Plum caper. Diesel makes an appearance, we haven't seen him for a while.

Summary: When Stephanie Plum is woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of footsteps in her apartment, she wishes she didn't keep her gun in the cookie jar in her kitchen. And when she finds out the intruder is fellow apprehension agent Diesel, six feet of hard muscle and bad attitude who she hasn't seen in more than two years, she still thinks the gun might come in handy. Turns out Diesel and Stephanie are on the trail of the same fugitive: Oswald Wednesday, an international computer hacker as brilliant as he is ruthless. Unsure if Diesel is her partner or her competition in this case, she'll need to watch her back every step of the way as she sets the stage to draw Wednesday out from behind his computer and into the real world

Great read. One of her better books. Thought I’d die laughing at Lula.

These stories are becoming way to predictable.

Oh Lula....you never fail to make me giggle.

"What the heck’s wrong with people these days. You don’t go around shooting eclairs and cannoli. If you gotta shoot something, you want to at least shoot something undesirable, like something with no gluten in it"

I miss this series being laugh out loud funny. Now I get a chuckle every so often, but the formula is stale. Lula eats, Stephanie’s cars blow up, Ranger says “babe,” grandma crashes a funeral, and Joe gets cheated on. Yea, I said it! If he were to sleep with a semi-nude woman in his bed (Diesel!), kiss a co-worker more passionately than not (Ranger!), and just carry on like Steph does, I can’t imagine she would tolerate it for a second. He deserves better. I keep reading because I hope one day I’ll catch a glimpse of the amazing stories that used to be. For now, what keeps me coming back is the phenomenal narration of Lorelei King.

Very light hearted book, easy to read. Went into depth on some characters which was interesting, but other characters were "fluff" but necessary. Pretty intriguing kept me wanting more. Great summery / beachy read.

Another great Stephanie Plum novel. Complete with all the characters we love and a couple new ones!

This is your typical Stephanie Plum book and had all the things your usually except from a Stephanie Plum boom. It was more fun than the last couple.
