❤️❤️❤️

Another great read (listen) in the Stephanie Plum series. This series has been running for so long that this cannot be read as a stand-alone but they are all entertaining and worth the time to read. Stephanie is on the trail of another fugitive but this time assisted by Diesel, mystery man extraordinaire. What she thought was a simple B&E capture quickly becomes more when the real crimes of her fugitive come to light. With help from Lulu and Grandma Mazier Stephanie follows the clues to maybe one of her toughest catches yet. And for once her luck seems to be holding out while Lulu is the recipient of all of Stephanie's normal hiccups, very entertaining. Lots of laughs and fast action. Great read!

Game On

This was a really great combination of humor and procedural novel. I loved that they took a serious topic such as bounty hunting and intertwined a lighthearted feel to the story. Made a dark topic much less dark. And the voices on the audiobook added a lot to the story.

If this was a purely Diesel story it would have been 3*s. I just feel he should keep to Boston. BUT Melvin and Charlotte saved the day! I hope they show up in future Plum adventures.

I really didn't realize until the last few books how much Evanovich was phoning it in while writing these books. I knew I got the "same old, same old" feeling from them, but there are certain things that makes series work, and you always need to include those things. Anyway, Game On was fun, even if Ranger wasn't in it much. I enjoyed the new characters and the mystery.

Stephanie Plum never fails to delight me. Yes, we have the same characters, issues, and basic storyline. But fun and laugh worthy just the same. Thanks for the quick, fun read.

I had decided that after the travesty that was the deviation in naming and just the mess 27 was, if 28 was more of the same this was going to be my last Stephanie Plum novel.

Thankfully, it will not be. This one was much better, but I will never not be salty about the name change.
