I think I only still read these because of the humour. God knows the plots are paper thin at best and only account for a small fraction of the book - the rest is just filler.

Somehow I missed this one. This one was actually kind of fun. Diesel is back in town, and surprise-surprise... they're both after the same perp.

Oswald Wednesday is a millionaire hacker who has caused issues with Diesel's employer. Stephanie is on his tracks because he's an FTA - he broke into a cop's house.

Oswald is tracking and eliminating a group of hackers (Potatoes) who has derailed his nefarious plot. A few of those hackers live in Trenton. Stephanie & Diesel realize this .. and race to protect those they can track down.

Lulu is having a VERY BAD LUCK week. Her moon apparently is in a bad spot & she has one weird mishap after another, freeing Step to work more closely with Diesel.

Morrelli & Ranger have VERY brief appearances, that's par for books with Diesel.

Steph is still with Morrelli ... and the mystery of Steph's mom's knitting book 29 makes MUCH more sense now.

Another great round of Stephanie and Lula and Diesel is back to help!

I have truly enjoyed this series, it’s always a guaranteed laugh. Though parts can get stressful, there’s always more laughs than mystery, I’d say. The dynamic of the characters just leaves you with a smile on your face. In this one, Stephanie and Lula are dealing with a serial hacker, Oswald, who likes to cut tongues out of his victims. His victims happen to be a set of other hackers, who just happened to hack into his system and leave malware on it. That malware is preventing him for doing something huge.

I enjoyed this one. It was a quick read and was easy to get into and keep up with. The story was good, writing was great and the characters, as I stated, are always fun. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Like McDonald’s in book form

There’s a place for these books, and in my life it’s when I’m tired, or unwell, and don’t want any surprises. I just want something familiar and comfortable, and fast. Janet Evanovich can absolutely be relied on deliver that and this book is no exception.

The audio if this series is always fun!!

This series is so much fun and never disappoints!

I read books in this series if I have nothing else to read. They’re not super brilliant but a nice and entertaining filler in between meals.
