I enjoyed this one but also wasn't quite what I was expecting. Everything felt like it was moving quite fast and I didn't really feel like I had a chance to meet and get to know the characters before we were thrown into their situation. I do think they were perfectly matched for each other and I would of loved to have seen the back and forth between them end a little sooner, so we could really enjoy them as a couple. I enjoyed the plot and found it intriguing to watch play out. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series and getting to see some of the side characters in more detail.

Loved this book. I loved Declan and Evie. I loved the stipulations that brought them together and all that made them stay. Can't wait to read the next book!

I was not really vibing with Everly and especially Declan. I do not mind an Alpha Male, but this did not feel like that. It felt way more darker and too possessive.
I know it is a dark romance. But the way he treated Everly was just not my thing. He was often not respecting her and her choices. Oh and there was so much miscommunication...
I only read through to the end because I was interested in Dom and Clara, who are the next couple.
Do hope their story is better, otherwise that will be the end of the series for me...
