A bit of a let down because I really liked the first book in this series. It kind of strayed from the original storyline and what I was expecting. The worldbuilding for New Gaia was really great though.

DNF at 20% and it takes a lot for me not to finish a book. I think this is only the third book. I haven’t finished in five years.

I love the first book of the series that’s one of my favorite fantasy books. This feels completely destroyed from the first few in the trilogy. It’s extremely choppy and hard to follow and doesn’t pay back to really what the first two books are about.

Guau. So… it’s been a downhill trajectory for this series for me. But there was elements I liked about it that gave me avatar, elemental abilities feel that I liked. So I kept going.

I don’t enjoy the audiobooks. More voice actors are needed. 1 person doing more than 4 characters. There’s not enough voice distinction for me. And this book just lost all the things from the other 2 installments.

I think this is where I leave this series alone. Hopefully this was the last one. But I don’t need to know about orisha. I gotta put me first, Lucious.

Read for closure to the first book. The characters do a lot of remarkably stupid stuff so the book can happen.
