oh oh oh. I adore the series as a whole, but
this book felt like a filler. after watching this video https://youtu.be/KLo_bf-EHVk?si=
wE6NHIwjOcCbvbtQ her video articulated these
thoughts way better for me to come to terms
with it. do wish the story was more connected
to the plot of the first two. overall Im happy Zélie
and Amari get the happy endings with deserve.
Amari surprise girlfriend was cute but I wish
fleshed out more. Inan's death satisfied me
but also, made me think a lot about the idea
of his masculine presence and my feelings on
thinking that the only thing he can bring value
is by dying, (i read bell hooks article on it and it
now lives rent free in my head) 1 wonder what
it would have meant to let him live instead of
his mother, CUZ THAT BITCH had to die, she
literally caused the government takeover that
started all this shit, being a genocidal maniac,
drugging her kid to keep him docile and she
gets to live?????? wild to me. oh and Roën his
ass is on my shit list, cause u cannot tell me
the last scene We get with that man is the last
book, MAN he COMPLICIT IN EVERYTHING
THIS and IS tries to give Zélie a gas mask.
THAT HAPPENED IN THIS BOOK. and he is just
never seen again. Tzain last minute addition was kinda nice but also too late.

It was a long wait to finally get to this end of the trilogy. It starts off strong but the ending leaves a lot to be desired. Overall great characters, great story. I would recommend the series to others although this entry in particular might be the weakest when looking at the three.
